This is another taste of childhood for me. (yes another one, what can I say my best memories are always food) As long as I can remember my step-mother made this honey dijon sauce. She's made honey dijon chicken grilled, baked or broiled regardless I've always loved it! Even now days as a grown adult I go to her house and put this sauce on EVERYTHING. When I make it at home it varies each time based on what I have on hand. I've typically always got on hand at least 5 varieties of mustard. In my home its the staple that varies frequently with a great deal of difference. I love my hot sauce, and I sure do love my mustards. I almost always use a whole grain as well as a regular mustard. This recipe was made with a German mustard thats typically sold in a glass barrel shaped jar. I served it a long side a simple green been salad. Its lightly steamed with a basic vinaigrette but nothing short of great. This was a simple delicious meal, another notch on my grilling belt. I really do adore grilled chicken and while its a work in progress with every meal, I'm devoted to make each meal this summer flavorful. I often find myself mid summer in a rut, that I sure hope to surpass this year with a variety of YUMMY recipes! Set aside the hot dogs and use this sauce on as much as you can!
