Last weekend I came across this wonderfully amazing treat on 5 Ingredient Fix with Claire Robinson. Its her Peanut Butter and Nanner Ice cream. I don't watch all of her shows but now and then I catch them. This time I caught the round up of the episodes included recipes and being the banana fan that I am I could not resist watching the whole episode. When she said "one ingredient" ice cream I just told myself it was a hoax. Come on really? Yeah right. I figured the trick involved a food processor but could not believe what happened right before my eyes. She did indeed make a creamy delicious treat out of just a banana. I made this initially with just 4 bananas and a few tablespoons of water. You simply put the sliced frozen bananas into the food processor with a tablespoon or so of water and blitz until smooth. That alone was truly a 1 ingredient miracle. To sweeten the deal a bit I added a scant tablespoon of peanut butter and a smidge of honey, you could use agave syrup or no sweetener at all but this was delicious. My last question was will this actually store in the freezer? Lo and behold it worked great! I made a batch with 4 bananas and divided it among two 8 ounce plastic containers. Truly perfect portion control, truly delicious and nutritious. (Not to mention painfully simple)

just made our first batch yesterday based on a friend who saw it on "5 ingredient". added pb and a half tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder, amazing the way it comes together! and diet friendly!
Oh my goodness! I do so loves me some ice cream, but being calorie conscious again really limits what I can actually eat.
The only time I catch 5 Ingredient Fix is when I'm at the gym, (go figure). Thanks for posting this!!
